Using the power of creativity and the performing arts to enhance the lives of people with learning disabilities

People with learning disabilities and/or autism are often unseen, unheard and underestimated. At Under the Stars, we seek to challenge society’s expectations by raising the voices and visibility of our participants so that they feel powerful, valued, included, and respected.

We use the power of music and theatre to empower people, develop their skills, unlock their potential and build their confidence. They become better actors, musicians, dancers and DJs, they make friends, and know they belong somewhere exciting.

Under the Stars supports Sheffield 10K

The 2024 Sheffield 10k was our fourth time as an organisation fielding a team of runners and walkers. And what a team! One of our learners Nick made his walking debut, three generations of one family entered to spur each other on, and our drama practitioner Steve fundraised over £1000 to help our work.
